We are waiting to talk to his surgeon, but it seems that he would like dad's platelets to come up on their own.
Surgery is now tentatively scheduled for Friday.
More news later.

Note - Dad passed away on Sept 15th. I'll keep the blog online for awhile so people can read about his "long road". Ciao a tutti... This is a place where friends and family can follow my progress. I have been hospitalized with pancreatitis since April 15th. It is very serious, but I am determined to beat it and be back to all of you as soon as I can!
