Note - Dad passed away on Sept 15th. I'll keep the blog online for awhile so people can read about his "long road". Ciao a tutti... This is a place where friends and family can follow my progress. I have been hospitalized with pancreatitis since April 15th. It is very serious, but I am determined to beat it and be back to all of you as soon as I can! You can post a message for me or just read the updates to keep track of how I'm doing.

I am a Porreca. My mother is Maria Porreca Knecht. My daughter has just started our family tree. Not much is known according to the older relatives in the family. Mom is the last one left, daughter of Fiori "Fred" Porreca and Angelina Piccone. I was wondering if you may have some history to share. My mom is eighty five. Her siblings were Joseph, Freddy, Violet and Elizabeth (Betty). The family setteled in Philly and eventually all moved to Jersey.
